With a focus on supporting our increasing number of students with special educational needs, we are excited to be able to offer a range of opportunities for individuals to join us in the role of Teaching Assistant. You will join our existing team of staff to support in this area. The role will provide essential support in our general classrooms.
You will be required to work with individual students, having special or particular needs, in accordance with the students EHCP where appropriate and/or groups of students as directed by the teacher. You will also provide support to the teaching staff across a range of child-centred activities to promote child development and learning.
The successful applicant will be a flexible and professional person, a team-player, with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as an ability to use their initiative, within and outside of the classroom. Previous experience of having worked with students with special needs would be desirable. Applicants must be computer literate and have achieved qualifications in English and Maths equivalent to GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C), or demonstrate a willingness to work towards achieving these qualifications.
