Today we went on a beautiful train journey to the city of Brasov and enjoyed some amazing views. We explored the picturesque city before starting the preparation for our trek up Piatra Mare.

Year 7 Tiny House

One of Miss Lobley’s maths classes have been working on a Tiny House project over the past few lessons. They were tasked with ensuring all the essentials fitted into a small space and had to work out the area and perimeter of each item. Once this had been completed they were able to make a 3D plan of this house and decorate both the inside and outside. Some even went on to make 3D furniture. Grim Tales – Wickedly Ever After is now going to print! – Creative Writing Competition

Congratulations to 26 students from our Creative Writing Club, whose mini sagas have been selected to be published. Recently, they entered a Young Writers’ Short Story Competition called Grim Tales. Using well-known fairy tales, folklore, myths or legends to inspire them, they twisted these stories into something original. As well as their work being published, they also have the chance to win some amazing prizes.
It’s always a pleasure to see our students’ hard work rewarded. We look forward to seeing their stories in print soon.

Nick Parker Y10 has learnt to weld during extra curricular Design and Technology. Using his new found skills Nick has created this wine rack using used horse shoes as a present for his mum.
