On St Georges day Mrs Wadsley fand Mr Morey took some Branston Community Academy’ students from service families to Lincoln Bishop University to join other schools at a Purple Up Event celebrating the month of the military child.
The morning was spent writing poetry about the winds of change. Our students represented the school well fully engaging with all tasks. They wrote some great poems. Five of our students were brave enough to read out their poems in front of others. A lovely lunch was provided and students sat outside in the sunshine to eat it.
In the afternoon our students were asked to do collage art about the winds of change in their lives. Quite a few students produced stormy scenes; others used a variety of media and methods to make emotive images that mean something to them.
At the end of the day we all met up for a reflection of the day and sharing of ideas.
