Geography – Withernsea 2023

The Geography department have just finished three days of year 10 GCSE fieldwork with over 140+ students collecting data in Withernsea. They completed beach profiles, groyne measurements, field sketches and questionnaires. They all worked incredibly hard and will now use the data back in the classroom in preparation for their exams.

Food Technology – Pineapple Cakes

Mrs Lawrence’s Food Technology group have created some pineapple upside down cakes today. Some students adapted the recipe to suit their personal preferences. Some of the groups work can be seen below.

Swimming Pool Closure

Both the swimming pool and changing rooms will be closed for refurbishment starting the 18th June. The pool is due to open later this year. A more specific date will be given closer to the time. Toilets will still be open and available within the foyer. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

Food Technology – Cheesecakes

This week, Mrs Bramley’s year 9 students used their creativity along with their Food Technology skills to create some amazing decorative cheesecakes.

Student Success – Kickboxing World and European Championships


Andrew and Emily have been selected to represent Great Britain at the Junior European Kickboxing Championships in September and the Senior World Kickboxing Championships in November.
Emily is a kickboxing athlete from Evolution Martial Arts who achieved an impressive Bronze Medal at the Junior World Championships last year and is hoping to improve on this success this November at the Senior World Championships.

Well done to both of you and good luck on your upcoming kickboxing championships!
