Community Ambassadors – St Barnabas

The Community Team love a challenge, especially if its for a good cause.

80 novelty Easter Chicks all have new homes and they raised an impressive £289 for St Barnabas Hospice!

Congratulations to the Community Ambassadors and thank you to everyone who supported this great cause.

Well done to the Community and Wellbeing Ambassadors for organising the Bake Sale.

Bake Sale for Mind – Charity

The Wellbeing and Community Ambassador teams are holding a bake sale on Friday 9th February at morning break (and lunchtime if there are still cakes left from the morning); all in aid of the England and Wales based charity Mind.

Please bring along some money for a morning treat and to help raise money for a really worthwhile cause.

Thanks for your support!

Tea & Cake Event – Community Ambassdors

Some of our Sixth Form Community Ambassadors went along to the Festive Tea and Cake Event yesterday.

It was a lovely morning in which the students mingled with the visitors, chatted and sang along to Christmas songs.

The entertainment was provided by the Branston and District Ukulele Group.

Festival Tea & Cake event.

Anti-Bullying Week 2023 – Odd Socks Day

Anti-Bullying Week got started off with Odd Socks Day which saw a wide array of brightly coloured socks and an amazing display of designs for the Odd Socks Competition.

The winners of the Odd Sock competition were presented with their prizes on Thursday, odd socks of course!

Throughout the week, our Community Ambassadors were on hand to collect and organise donations for Branston foodbank.

On Thursday, we delivered a car load of food to the foodbank and our Duke of Edinburgh Community Ambassadors were on hand to put it all away ready for being distributed to local families.

We also received £209 in donations. The foodbank uses this money to buy co-op vouchers so that families have the opportunity to buy fresh foods to go alongside the hampers of non perishable food and products.

We have another load of donations that will be dropped off next week.

Thank you to all of those that donated towards this valuable resource in our local community!

Children In Need 2023 – Bake Sale

Sixth-Form students organised a Bake Sale for Children in Need 2023.

Once again there was an amazing selection of cakes on sale and not a crumb left by the end of morning break.

Thank you to all staff and students who baked or donated cakes for this event.

A special mention for Luke, one of our Year 7 roving Ambassadors for his amazing Pudsey Bear cake – it was delicious.

A total of £278.19 has been raised for Children in Need from the bake sale fundraiser!
